A/C Repair & Recharge

Automotive air conditioning is what we have done longer than anyone around here. Cold air, done right the first time.

We do custom A/C hoses!

Can't find the right hose? We custom-build it in-house.

The problem

When the air stops blowing cold

Most A/C failures are not a simple "top it off" job. Refrigerant does not get used up — if the system is low, it is leaking somewhere. Adding more without finding the leak means you are back next month with the same warm air and a lighter wallet.

Symptoms we hear about

  • Air blows cool at first, then turns warm
  • Vents blow warm on idle, cold on the highway
  • Clicking or squealing when the A/C switches on
  • Musty smell from the vents
  • Water pooling on the passenger floor
  • Compressor never engages at all
What we do about it

A full diagnosis, then the actual repair

We start every A/C job with a pressure and performance test, then find the leak with dye or electronic detection. You get a straight answer on what failed, what it costs, and what we would do if it were our own vehicle. We service R-134a and R-1234yf systems on domestic, import, and light truck applications.

Book A/C service in spring if you can — May through August is our busiest stretch of the year.

Included in this service

  • System performance and pressure testing
  • Electronic and UV dye leak detection
  • Evacuate, vacuum test, and recharge to factory spec
  • Compressor, condenser, evaporator, and dryer replacement
  • Hose, line, and O-ring repair
  • Blower motor, blend door, and control repair
  • Cabin air filter replacement
  • Retrofit and older-vehicle A/C work
Our process

What happens when you bring it in

  1. 1

    Talk it through

Call or stop in and tell us what the system is doing. Half the time we can tell you what to expect before the car is on the lift.

  2. 2

    Test and inspect

We gauge the system, check compressor engagement, airflow, and temperature drop at the vents, and hunt down any leak.

  3. 3

    Quote before we touch it

You get a clear price and a plain-English explanation. No work happens until you say go.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, pull a proper vacuum, recharge by weight, and re-test the vent temperature before it leaves the shop.
