Auto Air R.J. Pelletier Inc has been repairing cars in New Bedford since 1924, and the business is still family owned today.

R.J. Pelletier opened this garage in 1924, and the business has stayed in the family ever since.
What kept it open was not size. It was the same handful of habits passed from one generation to the next: find the real problem, quote it before you touch it, and never sell somebody something they do not need.

Auto-Air opens
Ralph and Robert Pelletier of R.J. Pelletier Inc announce the opening of their new Auto-Air specializing in Quality Used Cars and Auto Air Conditioning.

Shop expansion
Paul Pelletier adds a shop expansion to the building. Before this, cars were worked on directly on the showroom floor.

We diagnose before we sell parts
A code is a clue, not a diagnosis. We would rather spend twenty minutes testing than have you pay for a part you did not need.
We tell you what can wait
Not every recommendation is urgent. We rank the work honestly and let you decide the scope and the timing.
We do not upsell A/C work
Refrigerant does not get used up. If your system is low, it is leaking, and we will find the leak instead of selling you a recharge every spring.
We are not going anywhere
A hundred years on the same corner. If something we fixed is not right, you know exactly where to find us on Monday morning.
